Ember of the Last Caravan

Ember of the Last Caravan packs a surprising amount of story into a mobile RPG. You guide a caravan of mismatched travellers across cracked salt flats, picking who eats, who fights, and who gets left behind when supplies run low. Those choices stick, and the game isn't shy about punishing a careless route.

Combat is turn-based and readable on a small screen — big icons, clear initiative order, no fiddly menus buried three taps deep. Each character has a distinct feel, and you'll build little combos between them without the game ever spelling it out. I lost a favourite healer in an ambush and genuinely felt it.

Sessions save cleanly and resume anywhere, which is exactly what a mobile RPG should do. The writing is spare but good, letting the harsh setting do the heavy lifting. If you want something with weight on your phone, this delivers.
