Rootbound Farmstead

Rootbound Farmstead is the cozy farming sim I keep wanting mobile to deliver and rarely gets. You plant, water, tend animals, and fix up a little homestead at your own pace. Crucially, there are no energy bars draining out or push notifications begging you to return — you play when you want, as long as you want.

Everything is designed for a phone: tapping tiles, dragging seeds, a radial menu for tools that stays out of the way. The art is soft and warm, and the seasons change the whole screen in nice ways. Progress is steady rather than grindy, and I never felt gated behind a wait.

If you want something to unwind with that doesn't demand anything of you, this is a lovely, low-pressure choice.
